Yoon Choi Yoon Choi is a writer whose work has appeared in New England Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and Best American Short Stories 2018. Her debut story collection, Skinship, released in 2021, has been recognized by Oprah Daily (BestBooks of the Month), NPR (Books We Love 2021), and is an Editor’s Choice pick at the New York Times. She lives in Orange County with her husband and four children.

 

Krystle PiamonteKrystle Piamonte will read from Yoon Choi‘s story “The Church of Abundant Life.” She is a Bay Area-based stage and screen actor. Theatre credits include productions and readings with Z Space, SF Playhouse, Ferocious Lotus, Magic Theatre, TheatreFirst, and Bindlestiff Studio. Screen credits include the award-winning short films “Bound 4 Heaven” and “Median.” She is a 2x Theatre Bay Area Award Finalist for Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role in a Play and was named an MVP of Bay Area Theatre by KQED. Krystle is a Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of The Chikahan Company and a company member of PlayGround in San Francisco.

 

Kayleigh NorgordKayleigh Norgord is a writer and editor who lives in California. She holds an MFA from the University of California-Davis and a BA from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where her fiction and poetry received a Graduate Writing Prize, a Celeste Turner Wright Award, and a Eudora Welty Award among others. Her essays and poetry can be found in The Potomac Review, Illumination Journal, and The Wisconsin State Journal.

 

Analise Langford-ClarkAnalise Langford-Clark, a SOSD veteran, will read from Kayleigh Norgord‘s story “Snakes.” She has been been involved in community theatre in the Sacramento Area for the last 20 years.  Some of her favorite roles include Janet van de Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone with Fair Oaks Theatre Festival, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at American River College, and Marie-Therese in Adoration of Dora with Kolt Run Creations. She is a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and she and her father help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she was lucky enough to have been treated.  While her first love is theatre, she is an avid reader and is thrilled to get to participate in this program!
