Episode #16: “It’s a Girl” by Jill Heffron, read by Tanya Lieberman
Jill Heffron is a world traveler and an aspiring writer. She has lived and studied in China, Mexico and France, taught ESL in Spain, and has visited close to thirty countries. Her best-known literary works to date include commencement addresses, various toasts, eulogies and most recently she wrote and performed the ceremony for her stepson and daughter-in-law's Covid-safe wedding. After organizing study abroad programs for college students over a twenty-five-year period, Ms. Heffron retired in 2019 and finally has had time to pursue her passions for writing, dance, and reading entire books at one go. She is honored to have one of her stories featured on Stories on Stage Davis amongst such wonderful and accomplished writers.
Tanya Lieberman is a Davis resident who is thrilled to be a part of Stories on Stage Davis! She is currently an education policy consultant for the California Legislature, and is a former voice over reader, podcaster, teacher, author, lactation consultant, and U.N. civilian peacekeeper.
