Carmen LauCarmen Lau graduated from the UC Davis Creative Writing MA program in 2009. Since then, she has lived in Shanghai, Berkeley, and Hong Kong. She currently lives in Atascadero, where she is training to become a psychiatric technician. Her stories have appeared in a number of literary journals, in print and online, including Fairy Tale ReviewThe CollagistHayden’s Ferry Review, and GiganticThe Girl Wakes, her first book, was the winner of Alternating Current’s 2015 Electric Book Award.


Genanne WalshGenanne Walsh is the author of Twister, awarded the Big Moose Prize for the Novel from Black Lawrence Press and published in December 2015. Twister was also a finalist for the Brighthorse Prize, and a chapter from the novel was nominated for The Pushcart Prize. Excerpts appeared in earlier form in Puerto del SolBlackbird, and Red Earth Review. Her other work has appeared in McSweeney’s Internet TendencySwinkBLOOM, and elsewhere. She has been awarded two residencies from the Ragdale Foundation and holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College.
